Rose Scaglione

ROSE SCAGLIONE is an award winning artist who primarily works in watercolor. Her work has been exhibited in numerous shows .
Her first experience with art was when she was 7 years old and was given a 'Jon Gnagy" art set and has never stopped loving and making art. She has studied extensively with Carolyn Pederson,NWS; Thomas Valenti,AWS; Mel Stabin,AWS and many other well-known national and regional artists.
Her work reflects strong values in the play of light against dark. Besides her love of floral and landscape painting, her most recent work incorporates figures into city-scapes and portraits.
Rose plays a very active role in various activities both in the arts and in her community and church. She has been recognized for outstanding citizenship by the Town of Ramapo in New York.
She is currently serving as President of the Community Arts Association in Allendale, New Jersey where she has been a member for over 30 years. She previously served as First Vice President and held the position of Program Chairperson for over 16 years. She credits this organization with giving her the support and opportunity to grow as an artist. She is an elected Signature Member of the North East Watercolor Society. She was recently accepted as a juried member into the Art Center of Northern New Jersey Watercolor Affiliates.
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Rose lives with her husband in Suffern, New York.
