Who We Are

The Community Arts Association is a tax-exempt, non-profit, cooperative organization open to all artists and art enthusiasts.  Our membership includes artists from several communities in northern New Jersey and lower New York State.  Our members work in all media.

How, Where and When

Our membership year runs from June 1 to May 30.  Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Archer United Methodist Church, corner of Franklin Turnpike and East Allendale Avenue, Allendale, NJ at 7:30 p.m.

  • At the beginning of each meeting a painting contest is held in which members' paintings are judged by their peers.  A prize is awarded.  Following the painting contest and club business, each meeting features a demonstration or lecture by an outstanding professional artist.

  • Members receive a monthly newsletter listing CAA activities, individual member's news, area art events, and information about the guest artist of the month.

  • Community Arts Association members provide a strong, friendly support system which allows for personal and professional growth.

  • Workshops with well known artists are offered in the fall and spring.

  • Member Shows

  • Bus trips to museums and galleries.

  • Outdoor painting trips.
